Welcome to the King’s Head, the oldest inn in Canterbury

Situated in Wincheap, a road stretching for nearly a mile from the city walls, the area was originally established before the early 13th century. Just a ten minute walk from the beautiful city of Canterbury, the King’s Head is a traditional 15th century former coaching inn with a wealth of character and charm.

Steeped in history, our extraordinary establishment dates back to 1410. It retains many of its original features and was recently given the title of the oldest working pub in Canterbury.

Guaranteed a warm welcome from the landlord Dr. Mark and the friendly team, the King’s Head is like a country pub on the outskirts of a stunning city.
